      Summary:
      Rush University System for Health, comprised of three nationally acclaimed hospitals in Chicago, Aurora and Oak Park, several ambulatory facilities, and a leading academic institution, is seeking a strategic, highly effective, outcome driven leader to serve as one of fourteen inaugural Transformation Partners in the Transformation Management Office (TMO). The TMO is a newly created department at Rush that reports directly to the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. The TMO is focused on driving systemic business and care transformation that realizes significant financial performance improvement in a combination of cost reduction and revenue growth.
      The Transformation Partner will report to the Director and manage several projects underneath a clinical or corporate portfolio through the project life cycle (request, discovery, approval, activation, execution, and look-backs). The Transformation Partner is accountable to the management and execution of complex enterprise-level projects within scope, schedule, and budget. The Transformation Partner will have a close working relationship with operational leaders and the front-line by providing consultation, facilitation, data abstraction, analysis, and interpretation support and by serving as a liaison with key stakeholders on objectives, deliverables, issues and metrics.
      The candidate for this position must be able to navigate a highly matrixed and complex business environment. The candidate must have a track record of successfully managing large scale projects and be able to push projects forward by building consensus across diverse groups to ensure timely execution. The candidate must have strong communication skills and be able to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

      Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s Degree
      • 3+ years of experience in healthcare, management consulting, strategy, project management and/or performance improvement

      • Track and report status against project plans and deadlines to appropriate stakeholders based upon agreed to communication plans. Keep key stakeholders informed of issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results.
      • Proactively manage potential scope and schedule changes to eliminate or minimize disruption and delays.
      • Partner effectively with other TMO members in support of project deliverables to identify dependencies and possible issues across projects and portfolios.

      Summary:
      The Office of Risk Management is responsible for claims investigation and management and overseeing loss control activities for Rush University Medical Center, Johnston R. Bowman Health Center for the Elderly, Rush Oak Park Hospital, and all personnel named as insureds under the Medical Center’s Self Insurance Trust Fund Agreement. The Office of Risk Management also works directly with the Office of Legal Affairs and outside defense counsel. The Risk Manager will identify potential liability situations, investigate and manage those potential claims, as well as lawsuits and attorney’s liens. The Risk Manager RN will participate with the loss control activities in his/her assigned areas and as needed throughout the Medical Center. Additionally, the Risk Manager RN is responsible for initial screening and evaluation of patient/family/visitor complaints and coordinating with appropriate departments, physicians and personnel for resolution. This position’s objective is to reduce unplanned or unexpected financial loss to the Medical Center through identification, evaluation and reduction of the risk of patient injury associated with medical care, as well as visitor injuries as well as to minimize loss through effective claims handling pursuant to the terms of the Medical Center’s Self Insurance Program.       The Financial Analyst provides financial support to the department leaders and principal investigators.     33.Consults charge nurse to identify inpatient women for whom high risk or premature delivery is possible.
    34.Provides in person visit and introductory information regarding the Rush Mothers' Milk Club®, shares written materials, personal experience, and answers mothers' questions.
    35.Invites ambulatory mothers to attend the weekly Mothers' Milk Club® luncheons; visits these women at least twice weekly until their infants are born.
    36.Participates in NICU team communication and discharge planning process to facilitate meeting maternal breastfeeding goal both during and after the NICU hospitalization.
    37.Attends daily huddle and weekly discharge planning rounds. Participates in the breastfeeding management plan.
    38.Provides continuation of lactation resources to families after discharge including referral to community lactation support, option to return for an outpatient visit, or to receive a personal home visit using the Mothers’ Milk Club® taxi.
    39.Provides home visit after infant’s NICU discharge as needed; develops feeding plan with mother to transition toward her breastfeeding goal with frequent in person or phone follow-up contacts.
    40.Competent participant in NICU human donor milk program.

    43.Participates in donor milk preparation including: receipt, storage, transportation, thawing, measuring (utilizing sterile technique), and delivery of prepared donor milk feeding to appropriate location in NICU.
    44.Frequently rounds unit to ensure infant’s own mothers’ milk is utilized whenever available, that human donor milk is being properly stored and conserved, and communicates all concerns regarding human donor milk usage in the NICU to appropriate medical team member in a timely manner.
    45.Attends staff meetings and stays updated and knowledgeable regarding all aspects of human donor milk.
    46.Assists in human milk management program for NICU infants.
    47.Documents and maintains an updated record of all milk that is stored in the industrial milk freezers.
    48.Provides daily thorough milk check each morning to all milk stored in the NICU including: observing individual milk storage containers to check for label quality and legibility; checking each NICU freezer, refrigerators, and bins for accuracy; ensuring that all necessary milk labels and clean milk storage bins are well stocked in each NICU room and available to staff as needed.
    49.Moves stored milk between the NICU freezers and refrigerators and the off-site industrial freezers based on staff request and available space; updates infant record so that staff are aware of milk storage status.
    50.Weekly: cleans, dries, and safely stores deep freezer bins informing discharged families of the amount and expiration status of milk stored in our industrial deep freezers; facilitates pick up or provides information and assistance with donation to human milk if mother desires to donate her milk.

    Clinical Practice Expectations
    •The IR tech 2 will provide patient and family focused care that supports a welcoming and supportive environment and a positive patient experience

    •The IR Tech 2 will be responsible for the integrity as well as the archival of the patient’s procedural data.
    •Due to the complex nature and potential hazards within the IR Lab, the Technologist will be required to help maintain a safe and organized work environment.
