      Summary:   The Ambulatory RN 2 identifies patterns of patient responses and can use past experiences to implement solutions for current situations. The Ambulatory RN 2 is a competent nurse who has mastered technical skills and utilizes evidence based interventions. The Ambulatory RN 2 continues to collaborate with other members of the health care team when the need for assistance is identified.       Required Job Qualifications:
      • Current license and credentials by the state they are assigned.
      • At least one year of nursing experience required.
      • Earned Nursing Degree at the Baccalaureate level or higher for those hired after January 1, 2014.
      • All transfers to Rush University Medical Center or Rush University Medical Group from other Rush entities must have an earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher prior to the transfer.
      • Chief Nursing Officer must provide approval for any RNs with ADN degree hired after 10/22/2020, based upon unit need. ADN RNs hired after 10/22/2020 must show continued enrolment towards a BSN degree with a signature of contract stipulating a BSN degree must be completed within 3 years of hire, Failure to do so will result in termination. ADN RNS are not eligible for leveling to RN3.

      Summary:
      The Provider Relations HR Business Partner (PRBP) is a key member of the Human Resources team, responsible for cultivating strong, collaborative relationships with employed and affiliated providers across clinical, academic, and administrative domains.     Summary:
    The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting. The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing.     Summary:

    System Antimicrobial Stewardship – Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (ASP-ID) is a clinical pharmacy specialist and leader responsible for the development, implementation, and documentation of the antimicrobial stewardship program (ASP) across Rush University Health System (Rush).     Responsibilities:
    • Recognizes and identifies various classes of drugs and their generic and trade names.
    • Assists pharmacists in coordinating and scheduling preparation of sterile admixtures.
    • Performs pharmaceutical math with understanding and accuracy, including: fundamental math functions, common apothecary and metric conversions, pharmaceutical dose calculations, and parenteral dose calculations.
    • Familiar with abbreviation symbols and equivalents used in pharmacy communications.
    • Understands various drugs' storage requirements, dosage forms and compounding techniques. Demonstrates understanding and proficiency of extemporaneous compounding skills.
    • Possesses proficient data entry skills. Demonstrates essential computer skills such as order entry, label generation, drug pricing, and third party billing. Prioritizes workload to maintain an efficient workflow.
    • Recognizes various billing plan codes and which drugs are covered under these different plans.
    • Assists in looking up information to answer general information questions. Refers questions regarding drug information or patient specific questions to a pharmacist.
    • Ensures the I.V. preparation room and related equipment are cleaned, calibrated and maintained per organizational policy and procedure.
    • Updates/revises patient inventory usage numbers in the computer based on actual usage, change in orders, and communication with other team members.
    • Remains alert to customer needs and provides prompt, courteous customer service.
    • Responds to and resolves patient/customer problems in an appropriate and timely fashion using proper channels.
    • Maintains work area in an organized and orderly fashion, including facing of shelves and returning medications to shelves.
    • Checks and maintains adequate supply of stock necessary to fill prescriptions. Orders stock well in advance of running out. Follows up with stock back orders and processes balance-due prescriptions.
    • Maintains CE hours required to retain CPhT certification.

    Summary:
    The Pharmacy Technician 1 assists licensed pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy performing duties such as preparing, filling, and labeling medications for patients in the Medical Center. As patient care assignments dictate, the technician I is responsive to the explicit need of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. When relevant, appropriate standards of practice and sensitivity to the psychosocial needs of these patient populations are exercised.     Other information:
    • High school diploma/GED required.
    • Current PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required and/or EXCPT
    • Individuals licensed BEFORE January 1, 2008 are grandfathered; they are not required to become nationally certified or hold the "Certified" designation to continue working as a registered pharmacy technician in Illinois.
    • Completion of an ACPE/ASHP accredited pharmacy technician training program if licensed on or after January 1, 2024.

    • Responsible for knowing the laws and regulations related to controlled substances.
    • Maintains cleanliness of all equipment and work areas.
    • Knowledge of departmental and Medical Center safety practices.

    • Actively participates in various departmental committees and educational activities as assigned.
