      · This per diem role will support return patients supporting Interventional Endoscopists as part of the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Digestive Diseases & Nutrition, Section of Gastroenterology. The role would entail working with the prep and recovery of outpatient and inpatient procedures and ensuring quality care delivered to these individuals.

      · Schedule needs are weekdays 7:00am-5:00pm

      · The Rush Center for Interventional and Therapeutic Endoscopy brings world-class care to the Chicago area. We have a team of fellowship-trained interventional endoscopists available to care for complex cases.

      · We specialize in taking care of many conditions, including diseases of the pancreas and gallbladder, early GI tract cancers, Barrett’s esophagus, achalasia and much more. Because of our team and equipment, we can provide advanced procedures using an endoscope, including weight loss procedures and removal of early GI cancers.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      · Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Gastroenterology is preferred. Relevant RN experience may be considered.

      The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the Rush University Medical Center medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

        Summary:
        General Description: The Physician Assistant Faculty- College of Health Sciences faculty member will work primarily with the clinical faculty to monitor student performance on clinical rotations, supervise existing rotation sites, recruit new sites, develop clinical curriculum, and participate in teaching and assessment activities related to clinical and didactic student training. This position requires travel for site supervision and recruitment.
        The faculty member will contribute to the educational, research, scholarship and service missions of the Program, the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, and the College of Health Sciences.         3.Must have at least three years of experience as a clinically practicing Physician Assistant. Prior experience in PA education and course instruction preferred.

        1.Facilitate student training on clinical rotations and participate in clinical rotation site supervision.

        Sleep Surgeon – Clinical Faculty/Physician

        Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position of Sleep Surgeon to join the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery.

         The RUSH Section of Sleep Surgery provides comprehensive care for patients with sleep disorders, offering the full spectrum of procedures, including nasal and soft tissue surgery, hypoglossal nerve stimulation and skeletal procedures, such as maxillomandibular advancement surgery and surgically-assisted rapid palatal expansion. The Section delivers care at main campus and affiliated sites in Oak Park and Oak Brook. The Sleep Surgery program has grown rapidly in recent years, drawing patients from the greater Chicago region and beyond. The Section has a busy research program and is involved in multiple FDA clinical trials. An ACGME sleep medicine and surgery fellowship in conjunction with the Section of Sleep Medicine is planned within 1-2 years.

        The Section is looking for an experienced sleep surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, preferably with sleep medicine and/or surgery fellowship training to join Dr. Mike Hutz, a dual-boarded Otolaryngologist and Sleep Medicine specialist. The recruit will have an opportunity to develop a comprehensive sleep surgery practice, educate residents and medical students, and participate in research and clinical trials. The faculty member will also have the opportunity to practice comprehensive otolaryngology in the department based on interest.

        The department has 20 faculty, 7 APPs, and 9 audiologists that provide comprehensive array of otolaryngology services at the main campus and 6 regional sites in Illinois and Indiana. The program is currently ranked #19 on US News and World Report, top ranking in the state of Illinois.

        Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position of Sleep Surgeon to join the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery.

         The RUSH Section of Sleep Surgery provides comprehensive care for patients with sleep disorders, offering the full spectrum of procedures, including nasal and soft tissue surgery, hypoglossal nerve stimulation and skeletal procedures, such as maxillomandibular advancement surgery and surgically-assisted rapid palatal expansion. The Section delivers care at main campus and affiliated sites in Oak Park and Oak Brook. The Sleep Surgery program has grown rapidly in recent years, drawing patients from the greater Chicago region and beyond. The Section has a busy research program and is involved in multiple FDA clinical trials. An ACGME sleep medicine and surgery fellowship in conjunction with the Section of Sleep Medicine is planned within 1-2 years.

        The Section is looking for an experienced sleep surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, preferably with sleep medicine and/or surgery fellowship training to join Dr. Mike Hutz, a dual-boarded Otolaryngologist and Sleep Medicine specialist. The recruit will have an opportunity to develop a comprehensive sleep surgery practice, educate residents and medical students, and participate in research and clinical trials. The faculty member will also have the opportunity to practice comprehensive otolaryngology in the department based on interest.

        The department has 20 faculty, 7 APPs, and 9 audiologists that provide comprehensive array of otolaryngology services at the main campus and 6 regional sites in Illinois and Indiana. The program is currently ranked #19 on US News and World Report, top ranking in the state of Illinois.

        Summary:
        General purpose of the position is to manage the open receivable including, securing reimbursement, guarding the Medical Centers assets, minimizing financial risk, working on behalf of our patient's financial liability. The Financial Services Representative 2 is also responsible for responding to internal audits. The ultimate goal of this position is to decrease receivables and increase quality and productivity. This role includes performing re-bills, Debit & Credits, adjustments, refunds, and claim corrections resulting from the multitude of claims and payer edits as well as notifying denial management of audits.         Required Job Qualifications:
        • High School Diploma or GED.
        • Two years of experience in health care or hospital billing with an understanding of coverage eligibility requirements for governmental payers.
        • Previous experience in a hospital setting, familiarity with medical terminology and patient fiscal matters.
        • Familiar with Nebo's eCare billing editors such as Classic and CMS. Strong familiarity with medical terminology and patient financial matters.
        • Specific knowledge of Microsoft Office in order to design, implements, tracks, and maintain moderately complex statistical information.
        • Strong analytical skills including statistical, mathematical, and organization abilities necessary for accurate reporting to payers and management.
        • Strong interpersonal skills for communication of finance-related issues to management and ancillary departments.
        • Sound understanding of billing and collection processes and eligibility requirements of private and governmental payers.
        • Able to work independently.
        • Good time management skills and possess the ability to multi-task.
        • Good oral and written communication skills in order to work effectively with a diverse number of internal and external contacts.

        Responsibilities:
        1. Actively manage account balances to ensure that we are compliant with Federal and State regulatory requirements and evaluate each account to ensure that each account balance is collected in accordance to contract allowable payment schedule.
