Rush Heart & Vascular, part of the Rush University System for Health network of hospitals, is seeking a BC/BE Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our growing practice in Chicago’s western suburbs. This cardiologist will help shape the future of Cardiology in Yorkville, Illinois, and will ideally be fellowship trained in advanced cardiac imaging.

Department Specifics:

· Rush Heart & Vascular’s western practice is based at Rush Copley Medical Center and has specialists dedicated to diagnosing and treating virtually every type of cardiac or vascular problem in adults.

· We provide comprehensive care for both the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease.

· Our services include general cardiology, interventional cardiology and electrophysiology with a fully equipped diagnostic center including nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and vascular ultrasound.

· We offer early detection and screening programs, an outpatient chest pain center, and cardiac CT/MRI.

· Through its partnership with Rush University Medical Center, patients have access to subspecialty programs in cardio-oncology, advanced heart failure, and structural heart disease.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient care to patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions.

· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.

· Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives within the cardiology program.

· Contribute to program growth and innovation through participation in outreach, education, and clinical research initiatives.

· Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain board certification and credentialing requirements.

Summary:
The Phlebotomist obtains blood specimens from patients by the invasive procedure of venipuncture. Once proficient in adult and geriatric venipuncture and with additional training, the phlebotomist performs skin puncture on neonates, skin puncture or venipuncture on children and adolescents. The phlebotomist is a liaison between the physician and Rush Medical Laboratories. The phlebotomist (Laboratory Liaison Technician) is responsible for collecting specimens for routine, timed and STAT collections. The phlebotomist interacts and communicates with physicians, nurses, laboratory personnel and other members of the health care team. Palliative Medicine– Clinical Faculty

About the Role  

• The Palliative Medicine Section is seeking motivated candidates to serve as a clinician-educator at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.  

• The section is comprised of a multidisciplinary team that involves Social Workers, Advanced Practice Providers, Nurses and Medical Assistants.  

• This position brings excellent opportunity to develop teaching skills for both graduate and undergraduate clinical skills through extensive involvement in multiple educational programs. 

The team currently covers two main areas: inpatient consult service and outpatient clinic. The opportunity is ideal for the palliative medicine physician who is interested in an urban academic teaching hospital and working within a robust and rapidly growing interdisciplinary palliative medicine team.
