General Summary:
The Director of Advanced Practice Providers (APP) Services supports the Office of Advanced Practice (OAP) operations in collaboration with the Senior Director of Advanced Practice Providers and is responsible for ensuring the provision of the highest quality patient care. This role provides strategic leadership, consultation, and support to APPs within respective areas of clinical focus and practice market. The Director of APP Services functions as the primary resource regarding APP optimal utilization, recruitment and retention, collaborative practice models, credentialing, orientation and onboarding, regulation and policy issues, competency, professional development, research, and educational activities.
This position requires collaboration with physician and nursing executives and demonstrates excellent communication, coordination, collaboration, and cross-functional partnership with RUSH leadership, service lines, and departments.
Three Directors of Advanced Practice Providers will work under the leadership of the Senior Director of APPs to optimize clinical, operational, and financial outcomes for patients across the care continuum.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Advanced Practice Systems Leadership:
1. Serves as the primary leadership point of escalation for all aspects of APP practice within assigned clinical area focus and practice market.
2. Acts as an organizational resource for APP clinical practice within assigned clinical focus and practice market.
3. Direct manager for APP Managers and Lead APPs within defined subset of APP workforce.
4. Provides systems-level leadership for a cohort of 100-140 APPs within clinical focus and practice market.
5. Works cross-functionally to represent the Office of Advanced Practice with focus on best practices for APP hiring, onboarding, credentialing, privileging, quality and safety, compliance, compensation and benefits, professional development, engagement, and retention within assigned clinical focus and practice market.
6. Provides strategic oversight for APP Managers’ responsibilities: front-line APP workforce management, service line specific outcome metrics, recruitment, onboarding, educational opportunities, engagement, scope of practice optimization, research, and incentive planning.
7. Provides systems-level strategic oversight for special projects which may include APP care model design and optimization, professional development, recruitment, onboarding and orientation, and APP-related metrics and key performance indicators.
8. Maintains active clinical practice in area of clinical expertise.
Educational Leadership:
1. Creates, maintains, and provides oversight for APP continuing medical education programs within respective clinical area and region.
2. Ensures adherence to all accreditation, regulatory and system policies, and procedures.

Summary:
The Manager of the 3D Printing and Augmented Reality (AR) Lab is responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, and development of the 3D printing and AR services. This role ensures the efficient and effective production of anatomical models and other 3D printed tools for pre-surgical planning, education, research, and clinical applications as well as the use of AR for education and pre-surgical planning. The Manager will provide technical expertise, manage personnel, and collaborate with radiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to optimize the utilization of 3D printing technology and AR in patient care. The manager will supervise any ancillary staff involved in the generation of the data utilized by the lab. -Performs IV starts and/or phlebotomy as determined by MD protocol using the technique defined by RUMC policy and under the direction of the Radiologist/Cardiologist supervising the diagnostic exam.
-Performs Visual Field exams on inpatient population.
-Obtain baseline vitals, document them in EPIC and notify the appropriate (tech/nurse)
-Responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment and for the wellbeing and safety of the patients under their care as well as that of family members and/or visitors within the Diagnostic Services area.
-Report any incidents, accidents, or inconveniences involving patients to the Tech/Nurse on duty as well as the Department and be prepared to file a full and detailed incident report as needed.
-Monitor patients for contrast reaction, distress and hypoglycemia; notify Radiologist with any concerns.
