      Summary:
      This position is for a full-time Sr Systems Engineer that supports the following technologies: Enterprise Windows servers, Active Directory, Server virtualization VMware ESX, Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop, NetBackup Enterprise Backup, SQL, IIS Web services, WINS, DNS, DHCP, CISCO UCS servers, EMC/NetAPP SAN infrastructure, resource automation scripting.       Responsibilities:

      1. Develop collaborative partnerships across internal and external technical support teams to maintain and improve the integrity of the Citrix and VMware server infrastructure.

      Rush University Medical Center is seeking a highly collaborative Outpatient Cancer Palliative Physician to join our growing Cancer Palliative Care team. This is a fully clinical, outpatient position with an academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on experience and qualifications. The role is focused on providing comprehensive palliative care services to cancer patients at Rush University Medical Center, Rush Copley, and Rush Lisle.  

      The selected candidate will work as part of an integrated cancer palliative team that currently includes physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), with plans for expansion. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for patients with cancer by addressing symptom management, goals of care, and complex decision-making in a highly coordinated setting.  

      Key Responsibilities

       • Provide outpatient palliative care services to cancer patients, focusing on symptom management, emotional support, and goals-of-care discussions. 

      • Work collaboratively with oncologists, APPs, nurses, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.

       • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and formulation of individualized care plans. 

      • Coordinate care across Rush University Medical Center, Rush Copley, and Rush Lisle to ensure continuity and consistency in patient management.

       • Engage in family meetings and goals of care conversations to support patients and their loved ones through complex medical decisions.

       • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to further integrate palliative care into oncology services.

       • Maintain clinical documentation and contribute to team discussions in case conferences and patient rounds. 

      Qualifications 

      • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. 

      • Board certification or eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. 

      • Eligibility for medical licensure in Illinois. 

      • Strong commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork and collaboration in an oncology setting. 

      • Excellent communication skills, particularly in complex and sensitive conversations with patients and families.

      Summary:
      The Nurse Care Manager is an Illinois licensed Registered Nurse who provides care coordination services to Rush patients through a diverse role as a clinician, educator, care coordinator and advocate.       This position offers rank and salary commensurate with experience. Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree from an APA- or CPA-accredited psychology program with specialized training in neuropsychology as well as internship (APA-accredited) and a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship training in adult clinical neuropsychology. Eligible candidates must be license-eligible in the State of Illinois and ABPP Board certified or eligible in Clinical Neuropsychology.

    Summary:
    The Nurse Care Manager is an Illinois licensed Registered Nurse who provides care coordination services to Rush patients through a diverse role as a clinician, educator, care coordinator and advocate.     The Otolaryngology department has 21 faculty, 8 APPs, and 11 audiologists that provide comprehensive array of otolaryngology services at the main campus and 6 regional sites. The department is planning to add 3 additional faculty over the next year and two additional regional sites to support clinical expansion. Clinical responsibilities will include provision of inpatient and outpatient neuropsychological services to a very diverse adult patient population with neurological, medical, and/or psychiatric conditions, including individuals with seizures, neurodegenerative conditions, vascular diseases, auto-immune disorders (e. g. , multiple sclerosis, lupus, etc.), normal pressure hydrocephalus, traumatic brain injury, brain tumors, cancers, etc. Teaching responsibilities include supervision of trainees through the neuropsychology track of the APA-accredited internship program and APPCN post-doctoral fellowship program in neuropsychological assessment and intervention in addition to lectures for neuropsychology trainees and residents and fellows in other disciplines. Research and scholarly activities will be expected. For the interested candidate, opportunities to teach in the medical school may also be available.

    This position offers rank and salary commensurate with experience. Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree from an APA- or CPA-accredited psychology program with specialized training in neuropsychology as well as internship (APA-accredited) and a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship training in adult clinical neuropsychology. Eligible candidates must be license-eligible in the State of Illinois and ABPP Board certified or eligible in Clinical Neuropsychology.

    • May perform immunohistochemical study using standard methods.
    • May run gene expression assays (PCR & qPCR).
    • May perform proteomic, immunoblotting and immunoassays when necessary.
    • Maintain inventory for experimental specimens and enter study information including methods and results into computer databases.
    • Maintain and submit primary and summary documentation of laboratory work to principal investigator of designee.
    • Develop sufficient understanding of the underlying theoretical concepts involved in the testing to be able to ascertain problems in the testing or in the research design and immediately discuss them with the PI.
    • May periodically be called upon to research or abstract to a limited extent relevant literature about new or known technical procedures or research protocols.
    • Assist research staff to conduct basic laboratory tests and procedures for a limited number of ongoing research studies.
    • Operate traditional laboratory instruments and automated equipment to conduct experiments.
    • Use computer software to collect and analyze experimental data.
    • Follow good laboratory safety practices and comply with safety protocols.
    • Document work including equipment settings, procedures, and results according to lab protocols.
    • Other duties as assigned.
