      Summary:
      The Oncology Nurse Navigator 2 is a registered nurse (RN) who works with physician practices and multi-disciplinary teams to promote the effective utilization of services and coordination of care for patients within the Cancer Center service line. The Oncology Nurse Navigator 2 contributes to the assessment of patients' psychosocial, financial and clinical needs throughout the continuum of care ensuring high quality care while supporting quality metrics of the Cancer Center and Rush University Medical Center The Oncology Nurse Navigator 2 functions as a liaison between patients, physician practices, the hospital, and the community performing functions that meet the core competencies of oncology navigation; Care Coordination, Communication, Education, and Professional Role/Care as well as the domains of the Profession Practice Model; Relationships and Caring, Evidence Based Practice, Technical Expertise, Critical Thinking and Leadership. The department is planning to add 3 additional faculty over the next year and two additional regional sites to support clinical expansion.     Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position of a pediatric otolaryngologist to join the Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery team.

    Qualified candidates must possess a strong commitment to patient care, education, and research. Candidates must have completed a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship, be board certified/board eligible and be eligible for faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level or above. The candidate will have an opportunity to build a robust clinical practice encompassing all aspects of pediatric otolaryngology, to teach residents and medical students, and to develop a successful research program. The position offers the opportunity to expand this highly ranked program at the Rush main campus and regional sites that will help support the growth of the Section of Pediatric Otolaryngology. Candidates would take part in robust multidisciplinary clinical programs, including Pediatric Aerodigestive Program and Craniofacial Center, while also having the opportunity to grow clinical programs, including airway reconstruction and head and neck masses. The Section supports a busy, 72-bed Level IV NICU (highest IL designation), an 18-bed PICU with 24/7 coverage by pediatric intensivists, and a general pediatric unit at the main campus.

    The Otolaryngology department has 21 faculty, 8 APPs, and 11 audiologists that provide comprehensive array of otolaryngology services at the main campus and 6 regional sites. The department is planning to add 3 additional faculty over the next year and two additional regional sites to support clinical expansion.     Summary:

    Responsibilities:
    1.Labor Relations: Directly performs day-to-day labor relations activities, including contract administration, grievance hearings, labor management meetings, and information requests. Serves as second chair or chief negotiator during labor contract negotiations, acting as liaison between department managers and union representatives, collecting benchmarking data, developing economic and non-economic contract proposals and drafting contract language.     2.Policy Development: Develops and implements processes and policies associated with city, state and federal employment-based laws and regulations that apply to healthcare and are aligned with benchmarked leading practices.     4.Employee Appeal Procedure: Provides support for non-union formal and informal grievance process, advising and preparing employees for presentation of their case, and/or functioning as a mediator where appropriate.
    5. ADA Accommodation Process: Partner with ECHS, area management, and other COE’s where appropriate to evaluate, discuss, and process employee ADA accommodation requests, collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring compliance.

    Summary:
    The Financial Coordinator position is responsible for providing financial counseling duties to assist patients in understanding their benefits and out of pocket costs. These activities include but are not limited to: providing an estimate for services, developing a payment plan, accepting and posting a patient's payment, providing insurance-related information (in-network, contractual information), and processing Financial Assistance applications. He/she provides excellent customer service to patients and their families.
