The Emergency Department at Rush Oak Park Hospital is currently recruiting for a Lead Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their team. This role will function on a rotating 10-hour schedule alongside 14 full-time Emergency Medicine Physicians and seven fellow Advanced Practice Providers. Night shifts are not currently required but may be added as needed. Two weekends (four shifts) per four-week block are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

· APRN Candidates must have pediatrics or Family Nurse Practitioner certification

· Position requires 3-5 years of experience in clinical specialty

With an annual volume of more than 47,000 patients, the Emergency Department is well-staffed with an average of 58 hours of physician coverage and 40 hours of mid-level provider coverage daily. The newly built emergency room was opened in October 2019 has 22 private rooms, and 10 Fast Track treatment areas. Emergency Medicine (EM) APPs are employed by the hospital and receive a competitive benefits package, CME allowance and paid time off. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the Rush University Medical Center medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

Position Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provider all aspects of care including acute care, well care and chronic care in the urgent care setting for patients of all ages.

Position Requirements:

Nurse Practitioner:

• Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse
• Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
• Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
• Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license
• Must maintain Rush University Medical Center (RUMC), Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH), and Rush Copley Medical Center (RCMC) clinical privileges, as applicable.
• CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Excellent communicator
• Experience treating patients of all ages
• Procedural experience (simple laceration repair, I&D)

Physician Assistant:

• Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate
• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program
• Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $130,840 - $184,000

•Assists patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living promoting maximal independence.
•Accurately calculates and documents calorie count, intake and output and patients’ weights.
•Assists patients with transfers and mobility activities observing appropriate techniques, precautions and assistive devices.
•Assists patients with bladder and bowel elimination programs
•Enhance patient satisfaction by hourly rounding and prevention of call light needs. Improves response to call lights when they occur.
•Work collaboratively with other members of the health care team to insure high levels of patient care.
•Follow CDC guidelines for hand washing and be aware of and follow isolation precautions.
•Need to always be on the floor during shift report unless directed by the Charge RN.
•Work as a team with your nurse to ensure that the patient feels safe and well cared for while with us in the hospital.

The Supply Chain Tech 1 is responsible for the day-to-day receipt and distribution of supplies to the medical center units, EVS and affiliates. • Work with the Supply Chain Analyst to receive, deliver, stock and replenish EVS supply closets across the Medical Center and off-site locations.

• Receive, pack and unpack items to be stocked and/or delivered on shelves/bins/Point of Use locations (i.e. in the warehouse, storerooms, units, and any off-site locations.)
• Receive and/or count stock items with accuracy and correctly record data manually or using the computer.
• Verify established inventory par levels by comparing them to actual physical counts and re-order replenishment stock accordingly)
• Ensure accuracy of received supplies by counting and comparing packing lists/restock lists with delivered goods and inspect for damage, defects or breakage, reporting any of these issues to the supervisor.
• Must meet established Supply Chain Policy #1 job performance standards and all scheduled timelines.
• Loads and off loads AGV system supply carts and appropriately parks/stages carts for next utilization. Must also be able to use AGV system touch screen correctly to send cart types to scheduled location.
• Clean and maintain shelves within stocking areas and in workstation areas to ensure compliance with safety and infection control regulations.
• Answer all telephone calls in accordance to the department's telephone script ensuring calls are properly answered, appropriate actions are followed and in a timely manner. Apply ICARE and IConnect in all interactions between inter/intra departments.
